30GB will not operate

Tried all the usual as advised.
It will turn on & off but that is it.
Screen is just white blank.
Has been left on an Evolve docking station unused for several weeks.

Docking stations can be the evilest way to mess up an ipod. I would recommend a disk mode restore for the white screen. I hate getting a captcha every time.
