This is done all the time of course. You might try clicking on iTunes Help page in menu across top of page - plenty of good info there so we recommend it. Or just try following:
Choose Consolidate Library from the Library section of the File menu on the old computer, copy the iTunes folder(not just iTunes Music) to an external drive or over a network, put that folder on the new computer, launch iTunes with the Shift key held down, and point it to that library.
