I-touch plays each song twice then will not advance - any advice?

I can't find a setting that tells it to do this. My battery is having a hard time holding a charge, could this be part of the problem?

Have you tried resetting it? Instruction in nav bar across top of page under How to with iPod.
Battery problem not likely to be part of that problem.

Restore will erase your songs

Restore will erase your songs - try following

when on the now playing screen tap the album art to bring up the extra controls and information, on the right side there will be an icon that look like to arrows following each other, if there is a 1 by the icon it will repeat. tap that icon until it is not blue.

Now go download the user guide and read over that for other useful stuffWink

Luckily I escaped without having to read the entire user manual! found what you mentioned and hopefully I will not hear Annie Lennox in my ear in 2 seconds -- AH Beautiful! a new song. Now, how in the world did I set that??!
