If you have tried this with a different set of earphones and it still only plays thru one side it may be the earphone jack that is the problem. This can be replaced by one of many repair services. You could try to reset it - not likely to make difference but worth trying. Does it play if you put it into a dock? Also run the internal diagnostic program - instruction in drop down menu across top of page.
