I have had an older I pod nano for 5 years and for the past year or so I have used an Ipod touch, i have a powerbook and have had no issues syncing either.  I recently got a Time Capsule and needed to update Operating Systems.  I installed Leopard 10.5 and since, I have not been able to sync my Touch.  Nano works fine.  It will charge so I know the USB is ok.  When I plug in my touch Iphoto opens up, not Itunes and when I open itunes there are no devices listed.  I talked to the apple help line for 30 minutes and got no where.  I have the latest version of itunes.  Any suggestions?  It has to do with the new OS? what do I do?  thanks to anyone who takes the time to repy.  Mike
